What is the E-LAB?

The Engineering Education Research Center (EERC) has opened the E-LAB (English Laboratory) to all graduate and designated third- and fourth-year undergraduate students who wish to improve their professional English abilities. The E-LAB is a time outside of class in which individualized instruction will be offered to students to help them improve professional English skills such as exam interviews, technical and academic presentations, proficiency exam strategy, thesis/article composition advice, or extensive reading support.

You can register for the E-LAB by contacting the EERC faculty faculty and requesting a visit. Sessions are currently conducted in person (or via ZOOM if necessary) at the Learning Labo, but there is a possibility they will be moved exclusively online depending on the COVID-19 situation. Different EERC faculty members will be available throughout the week except in August and March when the E-LAB is closed. Please refer to the information below.
